Meet the Deep Waters Counseling Team
Gianna Notarfrancesco, MA, LMFT
Co-Founder and Primary Therapist
Born out of a desire to witness individuals, couples, and families find wholeness in Christ and unity with one another, Gianna strives to come alongside her clients in growing through what they go through. Having worked in mental health care since 2020, Gianna has gained vital experience and knowledge through serving in hospitals, group homes, and outpatient therapy. Gianna has experience working with various clinical areas, such as depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, women’s issues (including PCOS, endometriosis, fertility issues, health/mental wellness challenges following abortion, etc.), working through faith/church hurt, and adoption/foster care. She specializes and has been trained in adolescent therapy services, EMDR therapy, Person-Centered therapy, Gottman couples therapy, Prepare/Enrich couples counseling, and Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts (SYMBIS). Gianna understands the importance of having a safe, empathetic space and advocate for growth/healing through the darkest seasons of life and desires to build that environment for each of her clients.
In her free time, Gianna loves to spend time with her husband, daughter, and puppy. She also loves to cook, constantly seeking inspiration from others and establishing her own recipes for the generational family cookbook. Gianna also devotes time throughout the year to serve as a birth doula, walking with couples through the pregnancy journey and aiding families as they welcome new life into the world. She is passionate about pouring into the next generation of therapists, and can often be found providing mentorship and education to students in pursuit of the helping professions.
Daniel Notarfrancesco, MS-HRM
Co-Founder and Practice Manager
Daniel’s path to becoming part of Deep Waters Counseling has been shaped by a genuine interest in people and the experiences that shape who we become. With a background in business, human resource management, and education, Daniel has spent much of his career working with people through moments of change, uncertainty, conflict, and growth. Those experiences have given him a deeper appreciation for the importance of being understood and supported.
Over time, Daniel has become increasingly drawn to the idea of doing work that could have a more personal impact on people’s lives. Watching his wife pursue her own passion for counseling further inspired him to explore what they could build together—a practice rooted in a genuine desire to help others navigate the deeper waters of life.
Outside of his professional work, Daniel enjoys spending time with his family, working on projects around the home, grilling, and listening to music. He is grateful for the opportunity to contribute to Deep Waters Counseling in a more logistical capacity and looks forward to seeing the meaningful impact the practice can have on those it serves.
